Why learning through play? 

Through play, a child makes sense of his world.

A child's sense of joy, wonder and focus are all engaged when in play.

Unicef, in its published brief about learning through play reiterated this:

"Play is one of the most important ways in which young children gain essential knowledge and skills. For this reason, play opportunities and environments that promote play, exploration and hands-on learning are at the core of effective pre-primary programs of a preschool. Early childhood period lay the groundwork for success in school and beyond."
